Contact Energy Welcomes Announcement On Pohokura Gas
Contact Energy welcomes today’s announcement by Shell New Zealand and OMV New Zealand that they are on track to begin
marketing gas from the Pohokura gasfield from mid-2004, Contact’s General Manager, Trading , Steve Cross said today.
“This is an important signal to major gas users that Pohokura gas will become available from mid-2006, prior to the
expected depletion of the Maui gas field. “Timely access to Pohokura gas will help major gas users such as Contact to
plan for the operation of their existing plants
