Kapiti Pleased Innovative Cheeses Recognised In Awards
The quality and innovation of Kapiti Fine Foods’ cheeses business has been confirmed by this year’s New Zealand Champions of Cheese Awards with 5 gold medals, 10 silver and 12 bronze.
The brand is highly valued by chefs and the foodservice industry and has now also been recognised by a judging panel headed by United States cheese connoisseur, John Greeley. These include Kapiti’s gold medal winners Kikorangi (triple cream blue) Kotuku (soft white) and Camembert 125g (soft white).
Kapiti also won gold for its Mascarpone (soft fresh) and Smoked Cheddar (flavoured Cheese).
Kapiti Fine Foods Chief Executive Greig Shearer said he had much pleasure in congratulating the company’s cheesemakers.
“Kapiti has had a longstanding tradition of producing high quality, innovative cheeses by working with its chefs and foodservice customers. It is refreshing to see this work recognised by arguably the most highly qualified cheese judging panel ever brought together in New Zealand.
