New President For TINZ
The Taxation Institute of New Zealand Inc (TINZ) recently elected Alex Zilionis of Tauranga as its new national president, following Margaret Coxhead’s retirement after almost 12 years in the position.
At the Christchurch conference and AGM, other elected officers were Barry Brown (Wellington); Pene Johnstone (Napier); Denise Hulford (Auckland); Alan Brown (Auckland); Bruce McDowell (Christchurch).
Executive Director Carol Rankin advises the membership structure has been considerably changed to reflect increasing professional standards. Members comprise tax agents and accountants involved in practises throughout New Zealand. www.tinz.co.nz
