Fiji Sets Hot Pace For Start Of Tourism Year
Fiji has started off its new year in tourism with record figures.
After setting its highest ever record for visitors last year, heightened interest in Fiji has already shown up in figures just released by the Government statistician for January.
Kiwi tourists to Fiji were up almost 35 percent from 2418 in January 2003 to 3252, says Fiji Visitor Bureau NZ director Paresh Pant.
Overall arrivals to Fiji from all markets showed an increase of 15.7 percent with 35,486 against 30, 655 in the previous year.
