Union and Ministry of Justice Reach Agreement
“NUPE members unanimously voted to ratify a NUPE-Ministry of Justice Collective Employment Agreement at ratification meetings this week”, said NUPE Organiser John Kerr.
This follows a strike at Christchurch District Court last December and talks between the Ministry and NUPE in January and February this year.
“The Agreement delivers a 3% pay increase this year backdated to 1 January and 2% pay increases in both 2005 and 2006” John Kerr continued.
“NUPE is pleased to have a collective agreement after 18 months of negotiations and we look forward to building a constructive and positive working relationship with the Ministry”, said John Kerr
