“If you ever see it, you’ll see it here”
adidas, principle partner of the NZRU and apparel supplier to the five New Zealand Super 12 teams, launched its
involvement with Rebel Super 12 last night with a wide-screen projection of its new Super 12 television commercials onto
the Rugby Park Stadium in Invercargill, the venue of the opening Super 12 match this season.
The “IF YOU EVER SEE IT, YOU’LL SEE IT HERE” advertising campaign was launched last week across New Zealand. The
campaign is designed to be light and entertaining and encourage New Zealanders to tune in to the Super 12 competition
and to celebrate the impossible moments of rugby.
adidas has supported the New Zealand Super 12 teams for five years and continues to see it as the best regional rugby
competition in the world.
“Super 12 rugby is the most exciting rugby in the world”, says Craig Waugh, Marketing Manager adidas New Zealand.
“If you’re going to see innovative and exciting rugby anywhere, you’ll see it at the Rebel Sport Super 12 first. This is
where the world’s best try out new moves.
According to Greg OBrien, Marketing Manager of the Highlanders, “The adidas investment of the New Zealand Super 12
franchises makes it one of the key partners of the competition. They provide the players with leading edge performance
products, they provide the fan with an extensive range of supporters product and this year they have developed this
wonderful campaign”
In addition this week adidas announced the re-signing of Jonah Lomu to a new two-year contract. The contract will see
Lomu acting as a rugby ambassador for the company.
