Federated Farmers sets up flood Freephone

Published: Tue 17 Feb 2004 05:53 PM
Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) has set up a dedicated freephone 0800 number to take calls from farmers needing help in the aftermath of severe flooding.
The phone number is 0800 FFLOOD (0800 335 663).
As already advised in an earlier media release, farmers and others wanting to offer help should send an email to flooding@fedfarm.org.nz.
Items needed include stock feed, electricity generators, accommodation, dog food, gas bottles, and lanterns. Farmers might also have room to take stock from weather-affected farms, or offer to help clean up.
We will do our best to channel those offers to the people most in need.
If you think you have something to offer, email: flooding@fedfarm.org.nz
