New Look Heralds New Era for MYOB
Telling customers to ‘mind your own business’ may be an unusual approach for any company.
The message, from one of the country’s leading developers of business software solutions, is one which New Zealand’s small businesses will welcome, however, because it signals a host of new developments aimed at making their business life easier.
The campaign, from MYOB New Zealand, will include this week’s launch of a new look, new advertising and a range of new promotional materials. The promotion is aimed at New Zealand’s thousands of small business owners, as MYOB prepares to bring upgraded products and solutions to the market, to complement its award winning software range.
MYOB General Manager David Lowe says the campaign is designed to highlight the company’s business accounting solutions that allow small businesses to operate more effectively, while reducing the time and costs associated with accounting, payroll and reporting.
“By investing in this kind of campaign - aimed at New Zealand’s small businesses - we are recognising the strength and increasing sophistication of the small business sector and looking to grow the whole market for business solutions,” says David Lowe.
“The launch of this campaign will allow us to provide opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability to a whole new generation of New Zealand small businesses.”
“In doing so, we are establishing a platform for increased standardisation of business software and greater, and more integrated, communication between the business owners and their accountant, financial adviser, bank and a host of other services.”
Over 50% of New Zealand small businesses currently using an accounting software package use MYOB products, making the company the clear market leader. The products are designed specifically for the New Zealand market and include MYOB Cashbook, MYOB Payroll, the MYOB Accounting range, and MYOB RetailManager.
Mr Lowe says that the campaign will also be good news for the company’s nationwide network of resellers, which includes small and large retailers as well as chartered accountants and other accredited consultants, that work in partnership with MYOB to help small businesses use the products effectively.
“MYOB approved consultants, accountants and retailers will be much easier to identify, with a range of new promotional materials and packaging, supporting their promotions and advertising.”
David Lowe says MYOB will follow the campaign with the release of significantly upgraded versions of the company’s extremely popular Accounting packages in February, containing new functionality designed to meet the individual needs of accountants and businesses.
“MYOB is firmly focussed on championing the needs of small business in New Zealand,” says David Lowe.
