Origin Pacific Airways Announces Upgraded Main Trunk Airline Services
In what is seen to be a strategic move, Origin Pacific Airways announced today that it will be increasing the number of
flights and aircraft size on its services between Wellington and Auckland starting in April.
The increased services will be operated using Origin Pacific Airways 64 seater ATR aircraft. Final details of the new
flight schedule will be released over the next few days but the flight times will fit perfectly with a number of new
international airlines that Origin intends working with.
Robert Inglis, Managing Director of Origin, said today " that this exciting new development is part of Origin's long
term strategy, to develop much closer relationships with international airlines out of Auckland, Wellington and
Christchurch while insuring that the New Zealand traveling public truly have a choice of carriers while traveling
throughout New Zealand. In association with the introduction of the new aircraft gauge, we will shortly be announcing
new innovations to enhance Origin's service standards and some exciting developments with our Frequent Flyer
programme> "
Fred Scott-Raynsford, Sales & Marketing Manager for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said "KLM is delighted at the increased flight frequency and larger
aircraft capacity of the ATR 72. This is just another step in building a closer relationship between Origin and KLM and
ensuring the traveling public of New Zealand has easy access to all international ports."
