THE Expo trucks in to Mystery Creek
The real big names in heavy construction equipment and trucks will be at Mystery Creek Events Centre, Hamilton in March 2005 for the inaugural THE Expo.
THE Expo - Truck and Heavy Equipment Expo - will be held in association with the Motor Industry Association, NZ Equipment Suppliers Association and the Truck and Trailer Manufacturers Federation.
Official overseas representatives from all major brands of trucks, trailers and construction equipment are expected to be at THE Expo offering information on the latest innovations.
And in addition to transport and construction equipment sitting pretty inside the massive Mystery Creek Pavilion, visitors will see the equipment in action with live demonstrations such as rock handling, rock crushing and quarry demonstrations. Expect new models unveiled and introductions to the latest technological advancements in areas such as satellite tracking.
THE Expo is the only event that has the endorsement of New Zealand’s three major trade associations - and representatives from the associations are enthusiastic, saying it’s going to be an event of international proportions.
“THE Expo is the only event those in the transport and heavy equipment industries should be exhibiting at and visiting over the next three years,” Motor Industry Association CEO Perry Kerr says.
New Zealand Equipment Suppliers Association Vice President Theo Valk says it’s an opportunity not to be missed.
“It will be an opportunity for international truck and construction equipment manufacturers to exhibit the latest models, see our market and meet with our owners,” Theo says.
The NZ Truck-Trailer Manufacturers Association recognises the benefits of supporting the vehicle manufacturers and equipment suppliers at one venue, according to national secretary Kate Bucknell.
“Our members are looking forward to participating alongside our industry colleagues in this new event format, which promises to raise the bar for heavy transport exhibitions in New Zealand,” she says.
THE Expo is on 3-5 March, 2005. 3-4 March will be “trade days” with the event open to general public on 5 March.
THE Expo exhibitor prospectus’ will be available in March from Mystery Creek Events Centre, ph 07 843 4497. An open day for interested THE Expo exhibitors will be held at Mystery Creek Events Centre in March, 2004, so stay tuned.
