Growth For South Island's Largest Pr Firm
The South Island’s largest public relations firm has increased senior staffing levels to meet the forecast increase in demand for business services in the year ahead.
Glass Tower Strategic Communications has doubled the size of its senior consulting team.
“With a buoyant business sector, and consumer confidence continuing to run high, 2004 is set to be a very busy year for our clients as they make the most of the positive local market conditions,” says Susi Maclean, founder and managing director of Glass Tower Strategic Communications.
Glass Tower celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. Over the past decade Susi has turned Glass Tower into the South Island’s leading public relations consultancy servicing a range of local and national organisations.
“Like all professional service firms, it’s the investment in high calibre staff that enables us to provide the diverse range of services demanded by the market.
This recent boost to Glass Tower’s senior resources means local organisations with a national or international focus don’t have to look outside of the South Island for top level communications services, and similarly national firms can access top class resources with a unique mainland perspective.
“While the fundamental disciplines of communications remain the same the country over, there is no question that audiences respond differently in the South Island requiring a tailored approach to business here.”
Seasoned PR consultant Claire Ramsay joined Glass Tower from the Otago Regional Council in July last year. Claire, with a press gallery and parliamentary background, brings a wealth of experience in central and local government relations.
New to the team is ex Christchurch Press Chief Reporter Diane Keenan, who left the paper at the end of 2003 to take up a senior role at Glass Tower. With more than 30 years of journalistic experience, Di is one of New Zealand’s most respected senior reporters.
Lee Ewing, formerly marketing manager with Jade Software Corporation, together with communications specialist Gerard Blank, also join the Glass Tower team in 2004 to work on key accounts.
“We are extremely fortunate to have such an incredibly talented pool of professionals in Christchurch, and Glass Tower is committed to keeping them here.”
