Expand Your Wings With SIA’s Heritage Series 2
Singapore Airlines has launched Series 2 of the SIA Heritage Series, its limited edition of model aircraft collectibles. Series 2 comprises models of the Douglas DC-4, Boeing 737-100, Airbus A300-B4, and the Boeing 747-400.
These aircraft models span aviation history – the Douglas DC-4 was developed during World War 2; MSA (Malaysia -Singapore Airlines) was the first Asian carrier to operate the B737-100 aircraft in 1969; The B747-400 carries the special livery to commemorate SIA taking delivery of the 1000th B747 to roll out of the Boeing factory in 1993.
The SIA Heritage Series is the first such collection of model aircraft commissioned by the Airline. There are altogether six sets in the Series that traces SIA’s history from 1947, when it was first known as the Malayan Airways, to the present day. The SIA Heritage Series 1 was launched in May 2003 and includes models of the Douglas DC-3, Boeing 707, the Concorde, and the Boeing 777-200.
