Business Roundtable Backs Call for More Time to Consider ERA Changes
The Business Roundtable today supported a call from Business New Zealand for more time to make submissions on the Employment Relations Law Reform Bill.
"This is a very complex and legalistic set of proposals," executive director Roger Kerr said today.
"Exploring all the implications will be time-consuming."
The Bill was introduced to parliament yesterday and submissions close on February 27.
"The Business Roundtable, which believes the legislation will add needless complexity and costs to employment decisions, backs Business New Zealand's call for the time for submissions to be extended until at least the end of April," Mr Kerr said.
