Young Auckland Woman In For Million Dollars
A 24-year-old computer programmer from Remuera could be a millionaire by this time next week.
Melanie Lim bought a car on the Greenlane Boulevard of cars in September during a three-month promotion where one lucky
car buyer would be given the chance to win a million.
Last week her name was drawn under police supervision from the thousands of entries from around the country.
Next Tuesday afternoon Melanie will revisit AMG Cars, the dealership where she bought her late model Toyota Celica.
In front of her family, friends, and other Greenlane dealers, she’ll be asked to choose one from a hundred numbered
envelopes.
Inside one envelope is a million dollars. Inside all the others is five thousand dollars – so she’ll win cash in any
event.
Greenlane dealers hope she bags the million. But if she doesn’t, a 101st envelope will be opened to reveal which one
contains the million.
