Dame Kiri Shares Her Passion
Usually seen on the world stage in evening gowns Dame Kiri Te Kanawa takes New Zealand holiday destination magazine onHoliday to her secret retreat in the Bay of Islands for an exclusive look at ‘the other side’ of her life.
For the first time the diva talks about her greatest passion, her favourite possession, growing up as a tomboy, surviving a childhood boating accident… even her favourite recipe.
onHoliday editor Kate Coughlan says it was a real coup to have this exclusive interview with Kiri and to share her private life.
“Kiri greatly treasures her privacy and onHoliday was delighted to have the opportunity to get to know the woman behind the diva. She is still very much a Kiwi girl and her love of New Zealand is satisfied by regular visits home to her family and bach,” says Ms Coughlan.
onHoliday also takes a look at a girls-own boating adventure on the Hauraki Gulf with enough wine, food, music and magazines to sink a ship; some of New Zealand’s camping hot spots and spectacular places to visit this summer.
onHoliday features some great overseas destinations as well as fabulous New Zealand holiday destinations and ideas. The summer issue is on sale on 13th November.
