Certus Consulting Growth Leads to New Management Structure
National operational model with three General Managers offers more responsive client service framework
AUCKLAND, 11 November 2003 - Certus Consulting, an IBM Premier Partner for Software, and New Zealand's fastest growing
IT consulting and implementation company, today announced a new national organisational structure. The move from a
regional to national operational model recognises the company's significant expansion during the last 12 months,
including revenue growth of more than 40% and a 100% increase in staff numbers.
According to Greg Woolley, Managing Director of Certus Consulting, the changes allow Certus Consulting to be more
responsive to clients' needs as the company continues to expand in line with its strategic business goals.
"It has become clear that the regional model with General Managers in Auckland and Wellington, even though it has served
us well to date, will not be optimal as we continue to grow. The changes enable us to maximise our position as an IBM
business partner, as well as offer a client service framework that will to deliver end-to-end service across software,
hardware and infrastructure. No jobs will be lost," he says.
Former Wellington General Manager, Penny White, has been appointed General Manager - Services and Operations. In this
role she will assume responsibility for the management and administration of 'core' Certus Consulting business. Ms White
will split her time equally between Auckland and Wellington. Delivery Managers have formally been appointed in both
Auckland and Wellington offices to assist her in the delivery areas.
Auckland General Manager, Glenn Myers, will assume a newly created national role of General Manager - Business
Consulting. Mr Myers will establish a team of consultants to develop and deliver strategic business projects. The
position reflects the increasing demand for specialised consulting services and utilises Mr Myers expertise in strategic
planning, information systems selection, and project management.
Based in Wellington, Mr Steve Barnard has been appointed National Sales Manager with two new Account Directors; Gavin
Stone in Auckland, and Gary Martini in the recently established Christchurch office.
Tim Charman will continue in the recently created role of General Manager - Infrastructure Services. Major initiatives
in this area include developing capabilities for a disaster recovery and hosting facility, as well as customer
procurement services.
"Certus Consulting has established a solid base to build upon. Moving forward, we will continue to increase the revenue,
capabilities and headcount of the company," says Mr Woolley.
