Marlborough Wine And Food Comes Of Age
Tickets for New Zealand's premier wine and food event go on sale today.
The BMW Wine Marlborough Festival is celebrating 21 years next February, making it the longest running wine and food festival in the country.
On Valentine's Day (14 February, 2004) visitors to Marlborough will enjoy over 200 wines from over 40 leading wineries, food from some of the country's top chefs and the best entertainment ever to come to Marlborough.
A fun-filled wine and food experience from the country's leading wine area, next year's festival promises to have something for everyone.
Highlights of the day include:
§ A showcase of wines from Marlborough's wineries matched with gourmet foods from top New Zealand chefs
§ Cooking demonstrations from Chris Fortune, winner of the popular television series Hell's Kitchen
§ Renowned wine tutorials from leading winemakers
§ Entertainment from Phil Madsen, Carly Binding and The Beat Girls
§ A Fashion in the Vines competition for men and women
§ Comedians, and juggler and mime acts.
The event is being preceded by the Gourmet Marlborough Cuisine evening with a cooking demonstration from Chris Fortune, wine tasting, food and entertainment at the Marlborough Centre. Alternatively enjoy a superb set menu, outstanding wines and entertainment at the Brancott Estate Winery Celebration Dinner at Brancott Estate.
On Sunday 15th February enjoy the Wine Down - with wine, food and entertainment at the individual wineries on the Marlborough wine trail.
