Work Started On New Pacific Business Trust Centre
Refurbishment work has started on the new Pacific Business Trust centre in Otahuhu, Auckland, which is due to open in early February 2004. Manukau City mayor, His Worship Seiuli Sir Barry Curtis, will join the Chair of the Pacific Business Trust, Pauline Winter, and local community members at a special ceremony this Thursday afternoon (6 November 2003) to celebrate the start of demolition work on the site.
The new business centre will be based at the intersection of Great South Rd and Bairds Rd, Otahuhu, on an old site formerly owned by pharmaceutical company, Glaxo Wellcome. Seiuli Sir Barry Curtis will lead demolition work on the building facing the intersection that will make way for 65 carparks.
Pacific Business Trust Chief Executive, Jim Mather, says the business centre will be a one stop shop for the Pacific business community in Auckland, offering a range of business services and advice.
"It's a place where they'll be able to find a cluster of credible Pacific lawyers, accountants, business advisors and other types of business service providers," says Mather. "At the moment we're looking for Pacific Island business tenants to lease office space in the building. The building will incorporate a blend of Pacific and corporate styles inside and out, and I'm confident that the Pacific Business Trust Centre will be a valuable resource for Pacific business people."
The existing Pacific Business Trust office block will be upgraded to accommodate the Trust's staff as well as a range of business tenants. Tenancies range from 33 sqm to 376 sqm with larger offices available from $13 psf plus share of outgoings. Designated carparks are available at $10 per week each.
The new building plan will feature a traditional vaka entrance, atrium area and distinctive Pacific-style interior. Both ground and first floor office areas are available for lease, and conferencing and meeting facilities will be available on site.
Information packs about leasing within the centre are available by calling the Trust on 270 1003 or Project Managers, PropertyWorks, on 0800 800 812
