Toyota takes YTD passenger leadership in booming market
Strong rental sales saw the September passenger market reach 6915 (the biggest month for over thirteen years), and the commercial market also hit a new high with the best September since 1984,
Toyota has edged ahead of Ford to take YTD passenger leadership by just 18 units, and has pulled well ahead in the total vehicle market thanks to another strong commercial month.
The battle between Commodore and Falcon for top selling car is now 280 units in Commodore’s favour – it will be all on in the fourth quarter.
Corolla is firmly entrenched in third place, with Mazda6 and Mondeo fighting it out for fourth place ant the title of top mid-sizer.
