New Zealand's First Interactive Tv Advertisment On Sky Television
SKY Television, in-conjunction with Oktobor Interactive, Clemengers BBDO and Panasonic, screened New Zealand's first
interactive television advertisement on SKY Digital channel 222 on Sunday, September 28.
SKY's brand new interactive television advertising is an innovative way for companies to advertise their products and
services and Panasonic was the first to utilise this unique service yesterday.
The campaign involves TV, radio and print advertisements which direct viewers to SKY Digital channel 222 without
revealing what the Panasonic merchandise is.
Once the interactive channel is selected, viewers can use their remote control to move through different screens of
information and images to find out more about the exciting new Panasonic product.
Viewers using SKY's interactive advertising service also have the opportunity to play a simple interactive game using
their SKY Digital remote. Once the game is completed, viewers are provided with a special code that they can then text
message to 8222 which will put them in the draw for a Panasonic Home Cinema, SD Audio Player and portable CD player.
SKY Television's CEO, John Fellet said, "SKY's digital capabilities allow for interactive services of this sort that
haven't been seen in New Zealand before."
"Working with Oktobor Interactive, Clemengers BBDO and Panasonic on this project has proved successful and we look
forward to developing this service further for SKY Digital subscribers," said Fellet.
