New Zealand Post key positions filled
A drive for more customer focus is at the centre of the appointment of four new senior management roles at New Zealand Post.
Chief Executive John Allen is delighted to announce three new managers to the company, Todd McLeay, General Manager Marketing, Paul Hutchinson, General Manager Sales and Lloyd Jowsey, Programme Director. Current General Manager, Postal Delivery, Peter Fenton, will take up the new position of Group Manager, Letters.
Mr Allen said the appointments lay at the very heart of New Zealand Post’s strategy to get closer to its customers and find new ways to help them send and receive messages, goods and payments.
“The skills and experiences these new appointments bring to New Zealand Post will be instrumental in improving our networks and the capabilities within them, and in building new capabilities and leveraging our current ones to create new revenue streams.”
Todd McLeay comes to Post from Vodafone where he has held senior marketing management roles for the last few years and is currently General Manager, Business Marketing. As General Manager Marketing, he will be responsible for enhancing the marketing capability across New Zealand Post in order to gain a better understanding of customers and the markets Post operates in.
Paul Hutchinson’s most recent role has been as Chief Executive of The Warehouse Group in Australia where he drove the company’s expansion into that market. Prior to joining The Warehouse in 2001, Paul had a 17-year career in the banking industry. His wide-ranging experience puts Paul in good stead to provide the leadership to continue enhancing the sales capability across all of New Zealand Post.
Programme Director, Lloyd Jowsey, has held leadership, project management and consulting roles for a number of organisations including the State Service Commission, KPMG and ICI. Lloyd’s expertise in business strategy, programme and change management will be invaluable as he leads the company’s flagship programmes – the Network and Addressing Programme and the Direct Media Services Programme.
Peter Fenton has been with New Zealand Post since 1997. While he is currently General Manager Postal Delivery, Peter has held a number of other roles at Post including General Manager Human Resources, Executive Advisor to the Chief Executive and Manager Remuneration and Information. In all these roles Peter has demonstrated his ability to lead people and work with them to execute and achieve results.
All four will take up their new positions within Post by the end of October. They will join an expanded senior management team, greatly adding to its diversity of skills and wealth of experience across many sectors.
