· Harcourts Reaches Milestones for Best Month in 115 Year History

· Despite the winter slow-down traditionally experienced by the real estate industry, July was the best month ever
for Harcourts International Ltd in its 115 year history.

· For the first time ever, Harcourts’ 245 offices in New Zealand, Queensland and New South Wales achieved: Over
4,000 sales in a month (Harcourts International). Over $1 billion in sales in a month (Harcourts International). Over
1,000 sales for a month (Harcourts Queensland).

· Managing Director of Harcourts International Ltd, Mike Green, said these were extraordinary achievements for
Harcourts and a reflection of the emphasis the company was placing on growth on both sides of the Tasman.

· “One of the most exciting aspects about these quite significant milestones is that they were achieved in what
has traditionally been perceived as a slower time of the year. We are confident our aggressive growth strategy along
with our continued focus on outstanding customer service, training, upskilling and technology is creating a true
industry leader at an international level.”

· July’s achievements are only the latest in a run of recent records broken by Harcourts International which have
included: Completing over 1,000 property sales in a week (23 May-30 May) this year. Completing over $8.3 billion in
sales over the 2002-2003 financial year. That was up nearly 40 percent on the previous year, and included selling over
36,000 properties (an average of one every 15 minutes of every day).

Harcourts first began in Wellington in 1888, expanded into Queensland in 1997, and was launched in Sydney, New South
Wales in November last year. Harcourts is the largest real estate group in New Zealand and the fast growing one in
Australasia.
