Waikato Federated Farmers Rally to Fight Against Ridiculous Taxes.
Waikato Federated Farmers are holding a rally on Friday 22nd August to protest against the Government's Proposed Greenhouse Gas Emissions Research Tax.
John Fisher, Waikato Federated Farmers President, is urging all farmers and supporters of the F.A.R.T to assemble by 11am at the old Hamilton City bus terminal in Ward Street.
"The parade will proceed at 11.55am around Hamilton Central City, followed by a gathering in Garden Place. At Garden Place we will have people addressing the issue of ridiculous taxes and a free sausage sizzle.
"Farmers and rural related service people can participate by bringing their road legal ute or tractor to the parade. Please phone Federated Farmers on 0800 327 646 to inform us if you will be having a vehicle in the parade. Participants please create your own banner/placards to attach to your vehicles.
"This is a great opportunity for farmers to show the Government they will not tolerate the imposition of yet another ridiculous tax."
