Nuplex Sells Australian Medismart/Sharpsmart Business
Nuplex is selling its Australian Medismart and Sharpsmart business for A$4 million to Stericorp Limited.
Nuplex signed a Share Sale Agreement for its shares in Nuplex Medismart and its 50% shareholding in Daniels Sharpsmart Australia, through Nuplex subsidiary Medihold International.
The A$4 million sale will be settled in accordance with the conditions of a vendor finance agreement signed between Medihold and Stericorp. This agreement provides for payment of the amount loaned within a period of 18 months. The loan will be interest free for the first 12 months.
Nuplex is committed to the medical and quarantine waste business in its many locations in New Zealand and has recently commenced a joint venture called Daniels Sharpsmart NZ Limited for the supply of reusable sharps containers for the safe management of syringes and surgical instruments.
