FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW LOOK FOR TURNERS & GROWERS
New Zealand's largest produce distributor and marketer, Turners & Growers Ltd has launched an exciting new look today.
Managing Director, Michael Dossor believes the new visual identity - which includes the introduction of a new web site, upgraded signage and stationery and branded merchandise - represents a company that celebrates the recent merger with world-leading pipfruit company, ENZA, and that continues to put New Zealand on the map in the global produce market.
"The consolidation has been a rewarding time for us - the ENZA brand and operation is definitely a significant part of our business moving forward. One of the great opportunities provided by the merger is the opportunity to leverage the ENZA business in order to grow Turners & Growers' other export activities," says Mr Dossor.
"Our company values are all around quality, innovation, reliability, freshness and building relationships. From a design perspective the new branding represents the sum all of these things and we will all be wearing the new logo and design with pride."
Communications Manager, Kylie Hawker, says the new visual identity was developed with the company values in mind and illustrates Turners & Growers' long history as one of New Zealand's most significant companies.
"Getting great quality produce to the shelves is what the company stands for, and has done for over 150 years. By the use of bold, earthy colours and simple design, we want to show the world that Turners & Growers is proud of its history as one of New Zealand's largest and most established companies and is still committed to New Zealand and New Zealand produce," she says.
"We have been busy making the merger a reality," says Mr Dossor. "Over the past seven months we have focused on rationalising and centralising our two operations to realise and maximise some of the benefits of the merger. Some early successes include the opening of the global ENZA sales structure for other products, streamlining of our domestic operation and combining our two Finance and Information Services teams into one."
The Turners & Growers group of companies is a multi million dollar global enterprise, with 2003 turnover expected to exceed NZ$926 million. In 2004, if expected volumes are achieved, turnover is set to hit the NZ$1 billion mark.

Note: Turners & Growers has, for generations, been a leading player in the domestic produce business, primarily focused on servicing the New Zealand market in locally grown and imported produce. This service has extended across the domestic supply chain to include pre-packing, returnable containers, transport and distribution. It has also developed significant export business in a range of brands and products.
ENZA has been a significant player in the global pipfruit trade, successfully taking on the world through exceptional quality produce from New Zealand growers, the strength of its global customer relationships and a remarkable history of innovation.
