New Zealand Trade And Enterprise General Manager Market Services Rod Mackenzie Has Appointed Three Group Managers. They
Are (In Alphabetical Order):
Hans Frauenlob – Business Development Services Group Manager Hans Frauenlob Has An Extensive Background In Information
Technology And Management And In His New Role Will Be Responsible For Nzte's Online Services, Enterprise Hotline,
Enterprise Development Fund, The Biz Network And Business Training And Development Services. Previously He Was Chief
Information Officer For Trade New Zealand, Having Joined The Organisation In Early 2002 As Acting Chief Information
Officer. Prior To Joining Trade New Zealand Mr Frauenlob Worked As Principal Consultant With Certus Consulting And With
Cardinal Banking Technologies Where He Was A Project Manager For Asb Bank’s Internet Banking System Fastnet. His Career
Also Includes A Position As The Information Systems Manager For The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club. He Will Be Based In
Auckland.
Jack Stephens – International Networks Group Manager Jack Stephens has vast experience managing international operations
and working overseas. In his new role he will be responsible for ensuring NZTE’s overseas operations are effectively
integrated with onshore activity to deliver a range of services to clients. In his previous role as Trade New Zealand’s
General Manager Market Services Mr Stephens was responsible for staff and operations in more than 35 cities. Prior to
that he was Regional Manager in the Middle East/South Asia and a trade commissioner in Australia, the Pacific and
Indonesia. He was also part of the team that implemented a major internal review of Trade New Zealand in 1997. Mr
Stephens, who has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in Export, will be based in Wellington.
Lance Wickman – Client Services Group Manager Lance Wickman has extensive business experience including two years as
General Manager, Northern Region for Industry New Zealand and many years in the telecommunications and IT industries. In
his new role he will be responsible for managing NZTE’s sector-based client managers who are focused on assisting
high-growth businesses increase their sustained profitability and international competitiveness. Prior to joining
Industry New Zealand he was General Manager at TelstraSaturn, running the General Business sales unit. He has also held
senior roles with Telstra New Zealand, Telecom New Zealand, Digital Equipment Corporation, Lingo Computer Systems and
Smith Markwell. Mr Wickman is a qualified Aircraft Avionics Engineer with diplomas in management and business marketing
and a Master of Business Administration and will be based in Auckland.
