Beachfront and Sweeping Views Bring in the Buyers
Sweeping Tasman Bay views taking in Nelson City, Richmond Ranges, D’urville Island, and Abel Tasman Park from a modest 1960s weatherboard house are attracting buyer enquiries from far and wide.
The two bedroom property right on the beachfront of popular Ruby Bay about 30 minutes out of Nelson has finally come up for sale after 27 years in the same family.
Listed for sale by Fred Coe of Harcourts Nelson, Mr Coe said his database of nationwide clients specifically interested in waterfront included a Wellington buyer who had been on the list for over two years waiting for such a property to become available.
And while the house had two double bedrooms, a spa room, double garage, and all day sun, Mr Coe added that it was the majestic unimpeded views and attractive recreational beach at the front of the section which provided the most appeal for excited Open Home visitors this weekend.
Mr Coe said this was the first weekend the property had been opened for viewing and while most visitors were from the Tasman district, he expected to show several out of town buyers through in the next couple of weeks.
With the property set to be auctioned 30 July, Mr Coe is anticipating the auction rooms will be at capacity.
He said Nelson continued to be an extremely attractive area for property buyers and as Harcourts Nelson’s auctioneer, he had already run eight “mega auctions” for the office this year with each having in excess of 150 attending.
