Special New $399 Launch Fares From Emirates
Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline that will start services to Auckland in August, today unveiled special launch fares to Sydney and Melbourne, including a 30-day return economy fare of $399.
Earlier this week Emirates announced its initial standard TransTasman fares, starting from $505 to Sydney return and $575 to Melbourne return.
The $399 rate is a short-life launch special, to be sold and ticketed by the end of July for travel from the service start-up date of August 2 to September 19.
Emirates today also announced special launch fares for business class and first class across the Tasman with the same conditions. A 30-day return business class fare to Sydney will cost $920 and to Melbourne $1050. The 30-day return first class fare to Sydney will cost $1250 and to Melbourne $1300.
Business and first class customers will have to stay a minimum of three days at their destination and economy class customers will have to include a Saturday night in their stay.
All the fares quoted do not include Government and airport taxes and other charges.
Emirates, an award-winning full-service airline, will begin daily services to both Sydney and Melbourne, and beyond to Dubai and other destinations, on August 2. The airline will initially operate Boeing 777 aircraft on both routes, changing to the four-engined Airbus A340-500 on the Sydney service from October.
>From October 27, Emirates will also operate daily from Auckland through Brisbane with Boeing 777 aircraft.
As a full-service airline, Emirates will be offering first, business and economy class, and full meals and complimentary beverages on all of its flights. Emirates aircraft also feature personal telephones and state-of-the-art entertainment systems with personal screens, 18 channels for films and features and 22 CD-quality audio channels.
