Tyco Services Electrical Scoops Supreme Prize At ECANZ Awards
Grove Mill Winery Expansion Judged Best Project
Auckland (June 25) -- Tyco Services Electrical has won the electricity industry’s supreme award for innovation and technical excellence, picking up the Electricity Contractor’s Association Safepower Excellence Award for its work on the expansion of Marlborough’s Grove Mill Winery.
Tyco picked up the award ahead of more than 60 entries that were judged on excellence in design, technical innovation, management and quality of installation.
The ECANZ Safepower Awards are held every two years and were initiated to acknowledge excellence in the electrical industry. More than 450 contractors, suppliers and officials attended the gala awards function at Auckland’s Hilton Hotel.
Tyco Services Electrical Manager Doug Kingsford said the award was a great honour, especially given the expertise and skill that exists in the New Zealand electrical industry.
“There is no doubt that the New Zealand electrical industry is a world leader in terms of innovation and skill, and to have our project recognised as the best is a privilege,” he said.
“Major projects and innovation in the electrical industry can easily go unnoticed, but the level of entries in these awards is testament to the enterprise of New Zealanders in this industry,” he said.
