Telecom Mobile Text Service Keeps Tabs On Home Phone Messages
In a first for New Zealand, Telecom Mobile is introducing a new text messaging service that lets customers know when a voice message has been left on their home phone.
Telecom Mobile customers who opt for the new service, known as Telecom Message Alerts, will get a text message sent to their mobile to alert them when someone leaves a message on their home phone Call Minder mailbox.
The service will be free until 1 December 2003 and is available to Telecom Mobile customers with a text-capable mobile phone and Call Minder on their home phone.
Telecom Mobile Head of Marketing Kevin Bowler said the new service was designed to make life easier for people who need to respond quickly to important phone messages or who want to keep tabs on Call Minder messages when they are away from home.
Mr Bowler said Telecom Message Alerts is an example of Telecom bringing its services together to make it even easier for customers to keep in touch when they’re out and about.
