Telecom Disappointed By Telstraclear’s Appeal
Telecom today said it was disappointed TelstraClear had chosen to appeal the Commerce Commission’s determination on business wholesaling.
‘Their appeal just puts the industry through more uncertainty. It will cost more than a million dollars but will bring about no apparent benefit for customers,’ said Bruce Parkes, Telecom General Manager Government and Industry Relations.
‘We had no choice but to counter appeal because of the rights given appellants in the appeal process. We needed to ensure we could put Telecom’s point of view across, no matter what circumstance.”
