Electricity Demand Update
The conservation effort for yesterday (Monday 19 May) was 6.3%. Total electricity demand was 98.1 GWh, down from the 104.8 GWh used on average at the same time last year.
National hydro storage levels were at 1916 GWh, 64% of average.

Business Advisory Service
A new advisory service is offering free tips to businesses on power savings.
Businesses can e-mail mailto: mailto:advice@energywise.org.nz with any questions they have about electricity use, from the savings generated by turning off electronic office equipment to managing load systems.
The service, established by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) and the Winter Power Taskforce, and run by the Energy Management Association (EMA), is committed to respond to queries within 24 hours.
For questions that cannot be answered by e-mail, a list of local EMA engineers will be provided to the business to arrange a site visit.
