Total electricity demand for the 24 hours ended midnight yesterday (Wednesday April 30) was 98.7 GWh, down from the 102.9 GWh used on average at the same time last year.
Conservation efforts by householders and small to medium businesses accounted for savings of around 3.2% - a slight improvement on yesterday. Demand continues to be reduced as a result of lower consumption by some large industrial users.
