Retailers and public confused over Pan recall

The uncertainty over what products are manufactured by Pan Pharmaceuticals is confusing retailers and the public alike, according to Rotorua-based homoeopathic manufacturer, Naturo Pharm Limited.
Naturo Pharm Director, Michol Fisher says the company has been fielding calls from confused retailers and consumers throughout the day.
"Retailers are asking us and other New Zealand manufacturers of health products to be proactive and provide assurances about our products given that information on which products are being recalled is proving challenging to obtain.
"We are reassuring them that all Naturo Pharm products are made right here in New Zealand, to AS/NZS, ISO 9001:2000 standards, and that Naturo Pharm has absolutely nothing to do with Pan Pharmaceuticals," she says.
Ms Fisher says public concern is mounting because of uncertainty about which products come from the Pan Pharmaceutical operations, but that people using Naturo Pharm products (which includes remedies such as the popular Arnica) should be reassured because of Naturo Pharm's 25-year history, its New Zealand-only manufacturing policy and its quality control measures.
