Valuable edge for businesses at awards free pre-entry workshops
Businesses entering this year’s Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards gain a valuable edge by
attending one of two free pre-entry workshops.
The workshops provide information on how to compile entries for the awards and offer an opportunity to consult past
winners, business consultants and judges about the benefits of entering North Shore’s premier business awards.
Enterprise North Shore Chief Executive Terry Hoskins says the free workshops are a great vehicle for providing an inside
running on how to compile an entry.
“Entrants have the opportunity to learn from the people who’ve done it all before – people who know what worked and what
didn’t. They make it so easy for businesses to enter.”
Bruce McLachlan General Manager Business for Westpac says the workshops also provide a forum for entrants to network
with other businesses and learn about the judging criteria for each of the award’s 12 categories.
“It makes sense before compiling an entry to learn how to effectively highlight the attributes of a business and to
learn what the judges are looking for. The pre-entry workshops are designed to give great insight into the entry
process.”
The Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards, in their sixth year, are now a recognised means for North
Shore businesses of all sizes to be publicly acknowledged for their achievements. The awards celebrate outstanding
performance and business excellence and contribute to the ongoing development of the North Shore economy and business
community.
The first pre-entry workshop will be held at 5.30pm on Wednesday, May 7 at North Harbour Stadium, with a second one
following on May 21.
Businesses should register intention to attend the workshops by contacting Enterprise North Shore on 414 1341 or
visiting http:// http://www.enterprisens.org.nz.
Entries to the Awards close at 5pm, Thursday, 19 June. Businesses are encouraged to enter via the website.
