It Company Appoints Business Development Manager
SQL Services, a Nelson-based company that manages some of the country’s key corporate databases, has appointed former
Microsoft intern Matthew Petherbridge as its Business Development Manager - the position is a newly created role
representing the company’s increased commitment to the Auckland market.
Matthew Petherbridge will focus on building SQL Services presence in the Auckland market – a market where the company
already services a number of major corporations.
SQL Services chief executive Colin Andersen says the appointment of an Auckland based staff member is part of the
company’s aggressive growth strategy that also includes offshore activity.
“We’re delighted Matthew has joined the team and are excited about the opportunities it will provide us with in Auckland
– it will certainly add value to our service by having him on the ground there.”
Mr Petherbridge says he was drawn to SQL Services because of its aggressive business model and challenging growth
targets.
”SQL Services delivers an exceptional level of service to its existing clients and I’m looking forward to working with
prospective clients to demonstrate how we can add value to their businesses,” he says.
Mr Petherbridge comes to SQL Services with seven years experience in sales and marketing, including two years with
Nestle, and almost five years with Glaxo Wellcome.
Mr Petherbridge left Otago University with a Commerce degree, and has a graduate diploma in IT from the Auckland
University of Technology.
He has also spent time playing professional club rugby in Italy & France from 1997 -1999.
