Goodman Fielder Makes Key Appointment
New Zealand's leading retail branded food company Goodman Fielder has appointed Stuart Smith as retail sales director - New Zealand.
Mr Smith has been with Goodman Fielder in Australia since 1997. His first position was marketing manager - snacks and in 1998 he was appointed marketing director for The Uncle Tobys Co. After two years there he took up a general management role with Baking Australia's frozen division.
Before joining Goodman Fielder Mr Smith spent 15 years with Unilever in South Africa and Italy in a number of marketing and general management roles.
In his retail sales director - New Zealand role, Mr Smith will be primarily responsible for overseeing account management, field representatives, in-store merchandising and category management.
Goodman Fielder New Zealand supplies 28 grocery categories and is market leader in 20 and number two in six of these categories. Its top five brands are Quality Bakers, Bluebird, Irvines, Ernest Adams and Uncle Tobys.
