Maui Production Restarts
The Maui Joint Venturers (MJV) advise that following a power generator problem on the Maui A platform that temporarily stopped Maui gas production this morning, the problem has been fixed.
"We believe the initial "trip" was caused by problems that occurred while testing a safety device on the platform. When attempting to restart the platform, neither of the two generators were able to be restarted. Shell Todd Oil Services have now restarted the generator and the field is back on line.
"Following established procedures major users were updated throughout the dad," MJV spokesman Simon King said.
