Global Investment Leaders Draw Crowds To Investment Regatta 2003
An impressive line-up of local and international speakers is drawing investors, business leaders and media to the Investment Regatta 2003 to be held at Auckland's waterfront Hilton Hotel next month.
Ross Campbell, acting CEO of Investment New Zealand, is excited about the quality line-up of speakers over the two-day conference and believes delegates can look forward to getting a big bang for their buck.
"We have secured John Sculley to speak - past President of Pepsi and head of Apple Computers in the U.S. In recent years John has explored a multitude of investment opportunities in the New Zealand hi-tech sector. He'll tell us why business people like him are committed to New Zealand and why it represents such an attractive investment environment to them.
"He will be joined by Sir Anthony O'Reilly, the Executive Chairman of Independent News & Media. He has been a key contributor to the entrepreneurial success story of Ireland and was also President of Heinz Corporation for 18 years.
"Dr. Hermann Hauser (from Amadeus Capital Partners) has also agreed to join us for the Regatta. He has been instrumental in shaping a very impressive technology and venture capital scene in Europe. He co-founded Acorn Computers, and established more than 20 other technology companies in both the United States and the UK," says Ross.
The founder of USA Networks and the first woman network president in television history, Kay Koplovitz, will also speak at the Investment Regatta. She is an author and entrepreneur who was appointed Chair of the National Women's Business Council by President Clinton in 1998. She has just written the book Bold Women, Big Ideas to inform and inspire women entrepreneurs to create wealth through equity.
New Zealand speakers include Stephen Tindall, founder of the Tindall Foundation, Kevin Roberts, the worldwide CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi and former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Jim Bolger.
Ross Campbell strongly advises would-be delegates to be in quick to secure the few remaining registrations by emailing mailto:regatta@investmentnz.govt.nz.
The conference, an Investment New Zealand initiative supported by HP New Zealand, is being held at Auckland's Hilton Hotel on February 10-11.
