Telecom And Fonterra Highlight The Potential Of E-Farming
The potential of e-farming is to be demonstrated to Fonterra dairy farmers, with the announcement today that Telecom and Fonterra plan to highlight the benefits of a unique broadband network for Fonterra, its shareholders and suppliers.
Telecom General Manager Corporate Sales Mark O’Donnell said high speed information and technology transfer between dairy farmers and Fonterra would create a powerful community of interest, better integrating the producer with the manufacturer and distributor of dairy products.
“This initiative will demonstrate that people in any location – rural as well as urban – can have access to, and use, the best technology available for their business,” he said.
Telecom is planning to demonstrate broadband services to Fonterra shareholders and suppliers during February and March.
