Weekend Banking Before Christmas
ANZ today announced that 32 of its branches around the country will open on extended hours leading up to Christmas.
Most are open from 9.00am - 1pm or 10am - 2pm on Saturday 14 and Saturday 21 December. Some are staying open late on Monday 23 December and Christmas Eve.
"This is a very busy time of year and for most people there isn't a lot of spare time," ANZ's Head of NZ Personal Peter Johnson said today. "To help ease the load for our customers we want to give them more time to do their banking outside traditional working hours.
"We did the same last Christmas and it was very well received by our customers and those of other banks. A full range of everyday banking services are available from arranging finance for a home loan to depositing a cheque.
"ANZ is increasingly taking a more responsive approach to its opening hours with a growing number of branches open on weekends or late on weeknights, throughout the year."
Areas with an ANZ branch operating on extended hours over the next two weeks include: Orewa, Auckland City, Newmarket, Lincoln North, Henderson, New Lynn, St Lukes, Mt Roskill, Botany Downs, Onehunga, Otahuhu, Chartwell, Hamilton, Huapai, Bayfair, Tauranga, Hawera, Hastings, Napier, Taumarunui, Porirua, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Johnsonville, Wellington City, Nelson, Richmond, Blenheim, Shirley, Riccarton, Dunedin, Queenstown.
