Seeking Talented Ones to Watch
Unlimited and BMW launch new award – and give away a BMW Z4!
Some 250 young executives will gather tonight to witness the launch of New Zealand’s newest business awards: the Unlimited/BMW Ones to Watch.
Open to New Zealand business achievers under the age of 40, the awards will recognise achievement and promise in the areas of Innovation, Wealth Creation and Entrepreneurship.
Six winners will be chosen throughout the year with the overall winner named Unlimited/BMW One to Watch of the Year.
Each of the six winners will receive a BMW 325ti Compact for two months. The overall winner gets to drive a brand new BMW Z4 Roadster for a full year.
“Creativity, innovation and a focus on excellence are traits we believe are shared by BMW Group and Unlimited. It is very fitting, therefore, that we join with Unlimited to promote and highlight those who will consistently display these traits as their careers develop,” says Mark McCutcheon, national marketing manager for BMW New Zealand. Vincent Heeringa, publisher of Unlimited, says the magazine is all about finding potential and generating new ideas and wealth. This award scheme is a neat idea and we’re looking forward to spotting the hot young business talent – and seeing them behind the wheel of these smart motors,” he says.
How it works
The Unlimited/BMW Ones to Watch awards will be given to people who demonstrate remarkable achievement in business. Candidates can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else. Judges from Unlimited, BMW, advertising agency GeneratorBates and the business community will look for above-average achievements in any area relating to business.
The winners will be profiled in every second edition of Unlimited magazine. The overall winner will be announced in December – and drive away for a year in the BMW Z4.
Who qualifies?
The award is open to all New Zealand residents under the age of 40 at the time of entry. Winners might come from any discipline: software engineers, sales people, managers, business owners, deal makers, designers, engineers, media and law.
How to enter
Entry forms are available on the Unlimited website ( http://www.unlimited.co.nz) or from the Ones to Watch web site ( http://www.onestowatch.co.nz).
