Commission conference starts today: Regulation of electricity lines businesses
The Commerce Commission will this morning commence a four-day conference on its review of asset valuation methodologies of electricity lines businesses. The Commission’s work on regulation of electricity lines businesses is under Part 4A of the Commerce Act.
The Commission released a discussion paper in October on its review of methodologies that could be used to value the fixed assets of electricity lines businesses. The conference is for interested parties to make oral presentations based on earlier submissions to the Commission and for the Commission to ask questions.
The conference will be held at Level 5, CSI House, 166 Featherston Street, Wellington.
Any media representatives interested in attending should contact Jackie Maitland (details below).
The Commission intends to release a paper announcing the results of the review of asset valuation methodologies by the end of the year.
The Commission’s discussion paper, and copies of all submissions are available on the Commission’s website, http://www.comcom.govt.nz, under the section on electricity lines businesses.Agenda for the Review of Asset Valuation Methodologies Conference.
