Trade New Zealand Scoops Psm Administration Supplier Of The Year Award
Auckland, 14th November 2002-- Auckland’s PSM Healthcare says its robust export growth over the past four years has been fuelled by expert advice and intelligence from Trade New Zealand’s global network.
PSM Healthcare, which achieved 17% export growth this year, following three successive years of 16% growth, recently named the trade promotion agency its Administration Supplier of the Year.
PSM Healthcare exports generic pharmaceuticals and cosmetic products to 10 countries. The senior team at PSM have been exporting accumulatively for more than 150 years and have all worked closely with Trade New Zealand.
“Simply put, we would not have made the great strides in our export growth this year without Trade New Zealand's help,” says PSM Healthcare Chief Executive Kim Campbell.
Mr Campbell says Trade New Zealand stood out in the administration services category because of its willingness to assist the company on a number of projects, in particular with trade show activity and exhibition work at the Private Label show in Amsterdam. Trade New Zealand also recently provided the company with research on the Australian pharmacy sector.
“We have some exciting plans on our books and expect at least the same growth next year - if not considerably more. We have improved our plant productivity some 40% on average in the last two and a half years and this enables us to be more competitive in more countries,” says Mr Campbell.
Mr Campbell says that while all companies supplying products and services to PSM Healthcare are eligible for its annual awards, each year it encounters some outstanding organisations.
"In summary we look for companies that have gone the extra mile to be partners with us and have contributed to the company’s growth and success," Mr Campbell says.
"Trade New Zealand’s work seems to appear in so much of what we do in building the company’s exports. They have consistently demonstrated a dedication, friendship and commitment to export excellence which is generally unappreciated by people who do not know them. We wanted, in our small way, to recognise this with the award and to confirm Trade New Zealand as an important business partner."
Trade New Zealand Account Manager Fiona Murray, who accepted the award on behalf of Trade New Zealand, says after referring many trade enquiries to PSM over the years, she has found the company's success can be partly attributed to follow-through and Trade New Zealand's global network of contacts and market intelligence.
There are five categories for the PSM Supplier of the Year awards, which have been run for four years - Raw Materials, Packaging, Operations, Administration Services and the Supreme Award.
