Telecom Meets With Ministers
“We had a fruitful and informative meeting with the Government,” Telecom Chief Executive Theresa Gattung said last night.
“We explained why we have had to adjust prices for customers getting new phone connections.
“We outlined why we had to find a way to cover at least some of our costs.
“The Government listened to what we had to say, and the Ministers gave us an assurance that the broadband tendering process, Project Probe, will be fair and above board. That was an assurance we were very pleased to hear.
“We were listening too, as we are listening to customers and to other groups such as the rural mayors we will be meeting later in the week.
“If there’s another way around this, we’ll look at it,” Ms Gattung said.
