The board of Christchurch City Holdings Ltd (CCHL) met this morning in Christchurch to discuss the Port of Lyttelton’s loss of the P Nedlloyd business and the effect that could potentially have on the wider Canterbury economy, says CCHL chair Paddy Austin.
“We hope that the P decision will be a catalyst for the port company and unions to renew their efforts to develop a long-term solution for the good of Canterbury business and the operation of the port,” she says.
“That will be in the best interest of the shareholder, the company and the wider community.”
