LOOT RESPONDS TO CONSUMER DEMAND
Looking for a new computer, somewhere to stay on your next vacation or a special friendship? LOOT, Auckland's weekly Buy
Sell & Exchange magazine has expanded its services to include these new lifestyle sections.
LOOT was launched in Auckland late February 2002, offering a diverse range of sale goods from cars, pets and sports
equipment through to computers and entertainment systems. LOOT now features over 20,000 advertisements. LOOT now has
three new sections, Computer Trader, Homes & Rooms and Jane's Personals, all added to LOOT to build on its increasingly loyal following.
Computer Trader is a new nationwide computer guide lift out section. This section of LOOT covers buying or selling
computers, computer games and software and reflects the increasing demand for trading computers and accessories.
Homes & Rooms is LOOT's complete accommodation guide for casual holidaymakers to people looking for their own home. Within this
section the To Let & Lease pages cover private residential and commercial office space. The pages of the Holiday Accommodation Guide provide
ideal locations for your next vacation, throughout the country and abroad. The Board column is for people looking for a
room with all amenities included, while the Real Estate pages cater for those looking to buy their own home.
Jane's Personals is LOOT's complete guide to finding friendship. Each personal message has a unique reference number. If
you want to search for a friend or companion you simply write to Jane who forwards your response to the desired
recipient. This innovative system ensures security for those placing advertisements and provides an easy navigation
system for people across New Zealand.
Lee Williams, group general manager for Trader International Group, says since the launch of LOOT six months ago the
magazine has gone from strength to strength in readership, sales and growth of classified advertisements.
"The addition of these new sections has been consumer driven. We were adamant right from the start that we wanted to
produce a publication for the people and the creation of these sections has evolved from readership response. LOOT is
targeted at Auckland buyers and sellers. Computers, friendship and accommodation are three areas that have wide public
appeal and reiterates our underlying philosophy of providing an inexpensive easy way for people to trade and swap items
"We are confident LOOT will continue to be an invaluable resource for people looking for good deals and searching for
items and services on any scale, ranging from basic necessities to more luxurious items," says Mr Williams.
In addition to being able to pick up a copy of LOOT from a variety of convenient locations, all of the items contained
within the hardcopy of LOOT are also accessible online at www.exchangepoint.co.nz. The Internet provides a platform for
information to be updated daily and for advertisements to be placed online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
LOOT is produced by Trader International Group - publishers of best-selling titles such as Auto Trader, Trade-A-Boat and
Motorcycle Trader. LOOT's advertising content and distribution covers the wider Auckland area from Warkworth to the
