Telecom Mobile Has New Zealand’s Fastest Mobile Picture Messaging
Smile. Telecom’s 027 customers can now let a picture say a thousand words.
The Sony Ericsson T60c phone, which works on Telecom’s 027 Mobile JetStream network, has a camera attachment that lets you take digital photos and email them almost anywhere in the world, faster.
With data speeds of up to 153 kbps, Mobile JetStream – the fastest mobile data network in New Zealand - gives you the edge as your photo will arrive where you want, fast.
Whether it is a holiday snap you want to send to your colleagues slaving away at the office, or an on-the-spot record to provide instant business information, picture messaging is fun, easy and fast.
And it’s affordable with Telecom. The Sony Ericsson T60c phones cost $449 on an open plan. The camera attachment costs $199 and each photo costs around 25c to email on a casual data plan, depending on the data size of the image.
The camera can take and send up to five photos at one time and store them on the phone or they can be sent with a subject heading and message to one or more email addresses or to a personalised online web album to store up to 100 photos.
The camera’s image resolution is 352 x 288 pixels and takes photos in 24 bit colour.
Telecom’s Mobile JetStream service provides New Zealand’s fastest mobile data service, sending data at up to 153 kilobytes per second (kbps) or an average of 50 to 80 kbps.
Telecom has launched a new television, press and billboard advertising this week to promote the service.
