Fill up at old price urges Shell
Shell New Zealand today announced that it was reluctantly putting up prices of both grades of petrol and diesel by three cents per litre, effective at Midnight tomorrow night (Wednesday 31 July).
In most locations this will see the price of Premium Unleaded 96 at 110.9cpl, Ultra Unleaded 91 at 105.9cpl and Shell Diesoline at 64.9 cpl Retail Manager Bruce Emson urged customers to fill their tanks at the old price, before the increase took effect.
"Shell is committed to bring New Zealanders the best possible fuel prices. We are maintaining the old prices until midnight tomorrow night (Wednesday) to ensure customers have fair warning of the move up and have the opportunity to fill up their car beforehand.
"The price of crude oil has moved up recently and coupled with the volatile dollar we must reluctantly increase the price of fuel. "New Zealand's fuel retailing market is among the most competitive in the world but Shell monitors prices daily to ensure we are giving New Zealanders the best possible prices," Mr Emson said.
