New FFNZ Office Holders

Foxton dairy farmer Charlie Pedersen was elected Vice President of Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc) at the Federation's National Conference in Christchurch this week.
Mr Pedersen has recently completed a three-year term as Chairman of Dairy Farmers of New Zealand. Previously President of the Manawatu/Rangitikei Province of FFNZ, Mr Pedersen is also a member of the Fonterra Shareholders Council. Charlie and Chrissy Pedersen farm at Himatangi.
Sitting National Board members John Aspinall and Neil Barton were reconfirmed at the conference.
John Aspinall has been a National Board member since 1999 and was previously Chair of the South Island High Country Committee. John and Sue Aspinall farm at Mt Aspiring Station near Wanaka.
Neil Barton has recently completed his term as Chairman of the Grains Council and was previously President of the South Canterbury Province of FFNZ. Mr Barton and his wife Davina farm in partnership at Kingsdown, near Timaru.
Hugh Ritchie, Chair Grains Council, Kevin Wooding Chair Dairy Farmers of New Zealand and Murray Taggart Chair New Zealand Meat and Fibre Producers are the industry group representatives on the National Board.
